Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has opted against the acquisition of wantaway Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes held talks with new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly over a possible move.

However, as things stand, Thomas Tuchel, who holds the final decision on the players signed by Chelsea, kicked against the idea of bringing the former Real Madrid talisman to Stamford Bridge.
