Robert Lewandowski and his highly anticipated move to Barcelona has suffered another setback as Bayern Munich have once again insisted the striker is not for sale.

The Poland striker has openly revealed he wants to quit the Allianz Arena this summer and would prefer a move to Barcelona, although the Catalan giants’ financial issues are preventing the deal from being wrapped up.

According to Barca Universal, Bayern Munich are yet to receive any bid in the region of €50 million from Barcelona for Lewandowski, which has been widely reported.

Bayern Munich want the €50 million valuation of Lewandowski paid upfront, whereas Barcelona are seeking to pay the transfer fee in instalments which the Bavarians are rejecting.

The Bundesliga champions remain adamant that they will not sell the 33-year-old forward, who has recently returned to training after the summer break.

Lewandowski’s first day back in Bayern Munich didn’t go well

Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski’s torrid few weeks continued after he resumed for preseason training with Bayern Munich on Wednesday, July 13.

The 33-year-old forward was accused of producing a listless session and also turning up late with body language clearly showing that he wants to leave Give Me Sport reports.

Lewandowski, who has scored a total of 344 goals in 375 games for Bayern Munich, was the last player to appear on the pitch and the last to start all training exercises.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported the saga around Robert Lewandowski and Bayern Munich is far from over, with the latter holding its ground over a possible exit.

Lewandowski had made it clear that he wanted to leave Allianz Arena this summer, but Bayern have refused to budge unless they get an offer of at least 50 million euros.

Lewandowski's family have been left surprised about the treatment of the star. The family feels that the Bundesliga giants are ungrateful for all the things Lewandowski has done.
