Barcelona’s push to sign Robert Lewandowski this summer seems to be on the verge of a collapse as Chelsea are now in the running to snap up the Poland striker.
Lewandowski has revealed his desire to leave Bayern Munich this summer after eight seasons with the Bundesliga champions with Barcelona, Chelsea and PSG all understood to be interested in the forward.
According to Daily Mirror, the Polish international has long preferred Barcelona, but the Catalan giants are having trouble raising the £42 million asking price demanded from Bayern Munich.

Lewandowski is now thought to be open to a move to the Stamford Bridge if a deal can be sealed between Chelsea and the Bundesliga champions as he very determined to leave Germany.
The 33-year-old forward has had eight successful seasons with Bayern Munich, winning 8 Bundesliga titles and also the UEFA Champions League on one occasion.
Barcelona submit fresh €50m fixed bid for Lewandowski
Meanwhile, Barcelona have not given up hope on signing Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich this summer after making another bid for the forward.
According to Barca Universal, Barcelona has reportedly finally met at a crossroads with the Bundesliga champions for the transfer of the Polish striker by offering a bid of €50 million.
The Catalan giants are also offering Lewandowski a 3-year contract with an optional 1-year extension as the La Liga side tries to finalize the deal before Wednesday, July 13.
