Mamelodi Sundowns have stocked up for their continued domination of the DStv Premiership with the reported acquisition of another South American import.
The Brazilians are finalising the signing of 23-year-old Chilean midfielder Marcelo Allende.
According to KickOff via Encancha, Allende bid farewell to his current club Montevideo City Torque in Uruguay, and is making his way to South Africa. The article reported that he played 20 times for Torque, scoring six goals and making three assists.
In January, Sundowns announced the signing of Bolivian international Erwin Saavedra, who has struggled to stake a claim in the squad due to an unlucky run of injuries

In February, team co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi sensationally claimed that Liverpool-bound FC Porto player Luis Diaz was once on Bafana Ba Style's radar. He also said something similar about Brazilian and Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr., a sign of just how strong the club's scouring network on the continent.
Sundowns isn't the only team bringing in players from across the Atlantic Ocean, with Stellenbosch FC snapping up Venezuelan winger Juan Carlos Ortíz, while Cape Town City signed Ortiz' compatriot Darwin Gonzalez.

Willard Katsande could be making a sudden return to professional football.
As reported by Sports Brief, the former Zimbabwean international and Kaizer Chiefs star hung up his boots at the end of the season but could be forced out of retirement. Katsande retired and took up the position of brand ambassador at Sekhukhune United.
However, according to a club source, the club are struggling to find a replacement for the veteran midfielder and could ask Katsande to come out of retirement for another season.
