CAF unveils the only Nigerian footballer nominated in 10 man list for Africa's young player of the year

- Sadio Mane of Bayern Munich has been nominated among the final 10 nominees for the 2022 CAF awards
- The Senegal international was in brilliant form last season and also helped his nation to win the AFCON title
- However, Sadio Mane will face serious competition from the likes of Mohamed Salah and Mendy for the award
Africa's football governing body known as CAF have released names of final 10 nominees for the 2022 Men's award for the player of the year in which Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane made it.
Even though Liverpool failed to win the Champions League title last season losing against Real Madrid, Sadio Mane did well for his club helping them to win the Carabao and FA Cup.
The Senegalese striker also helped his country to win the 2021 African Cup of Nations title beating Egypt in the final.
Sadio Mane has moved to German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich where he will start new life and challenge in the coming season.

According to the post made by CAF, Naby Keita also made the final 10 while Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has been dropped.

Super Eagles Star Henry Onyekuru Joins Mario Balotelli at Turkish Club Adana Demirspor
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles attacker Henry Onyekuru completed a season-long loan move to Turkish club Adana Demirspor.
The club announced the signing of the Nigerian international on their official Twitter account on Sunday, July 10, with a picture of the 25-year-old in the colours of the club.
Moses Simon the only Nigerian footballer nominated in CAF 30-man list for Africa’s best player
FootballSoccernet.ng reports that Adana Demirspor will activate the option in Onyekuru's contract to keep him beyond his loan spell if things go according to plan.
The pacy winger joins Adana Demirspor from Greek giants Olympiacos where he had a poor campaign last season.
Having joined Olympiacos on a four-year deal last summer from Monaco, Onyekuru only managed one goal and an assist for the team all season.
