Hunt won the Castle Premiership title three times in a row with Matsatsantsa between 2008 and 2010. This made him the first coach in the Premier Soccer League to do so, before going on to win the Absa Premiership with Bidvest Wits in 2017, the club's first PSL title.

He parted ways with Chippa United last December after a string of poor results with the Gqeberha-based club, as per The Citizen. More famously, the 57-year-old had an unsuccessful stint with Kaizer Chiefs before that.

He was appointed by the Amakhosi as the coach in September 2020, but was sacked in May 2021 after a disappointing tenure which resulted in the club's continued trophy drought.

Annoyed Supersport United rubbishes rumours of the club being up for sale once and for all

SuperSport United Football Club has firmly put to bed rumours that the club was up for sale.

As reported by Sports Brief, in recent times, there had been whispers in the media that the Tshwane-based club will be put up for auction. A potential buyer came in the form of Zimbabwean tech billionaire Strive Masiyiwa, the chairman of Econet.

However, United released a statement denying all of this, threatening legal action against those who continued peddling the rumours.
