Ghana Premier League goal king, Yaw Annor, has joined Egyptian Premier League side Ismaily SC.

The 24-year-old signed a five-year deal reportedly worth $200,000 to seal a transfer from Ashantigold to the Egyptian outfit.

In photos posted on social media, the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League top scorer is seen in the colours of Ismaily as he gets unveiled.

The talented forward netted 22 goals to be crowned the Ghana Premier League goal king. He beat Asante Kotoko's Cameroonian forward Franck Mbella Etouga to win the award on the final day.

Yaw Annor was also crowned Ghanaian-based Player of the Year at the Ghana Football Awards held in Accra on Saturday.

The golden boot winner started his career at Bechem United before moving to Spain to play for Fuenlabrada. He also had a short stint at Burgos in Spain before returning to Ghana.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Richard Boadu has alleged that some Ghana Premier League clubs manufactured goals for Ashantigold SC forward, Yaw Annor.

Annor finished the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League as the top scorer with an eyewatering 22 goals.

He thus equalled a long-standing record set by former Hearts of Oak striker Ishmael Addo in the 2000/01 season.

The Ashantigold marksman finished the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League as the top scorer with an eyewatering 22 goals, equalling a long-standing record set by former Hearts of Oak striker Ishmael Addo.

In a photo shared on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, Annor was ranked in the top 10 goal scorers in 2022, ahead of Frenchman Wissam Ben Yedder and Real Madrid Academy graduate, Pablo Sarabia.
