George Maluleka is still being targeted by angry Kaizer Chiefs fans, despite leaving the club over two years ago.
The midfielder left the Amakhosi at the end of June 2020 to join Mamelodi Sundowns.
At the time of his departure, Chiefs held a healthy lead at the top of the DStv Premiership but ended up throwing away that lead and losing to Sundowns.
Many Amakhosi fans have blamed the midfielder for their losing the league title, and Maluleka admitted that it still hurt, The Citizen reported.

Maluleka said that it was tough to hear what people had to say when they didn’t know the full story, He explained that Chiefs and his agent could not agree on new terms and that led to his departure.
“This happens worldwide in this industry and in business as well. Two parties could not agree and the next best thing was to part ways,” he said.
Maluleka added that he still had a very good relationship with the club but that fans hurled insults at him every chance they get.
“I know some people are angry about my move from Chiefs to Sundowns but I just want to move on with my life. Even today people still banter about it.”
Maluleka only spent two years at Sundowns before he was released by the club. He has now signed for AmaZulu, Sowetan LIVE reported.
