The VAR was first used at the FIFA World Cup in 2018 in Russia and has been introduced in many leagues around the world. The system is not without its fair share of controversy but has greatly reduced the number of bad calls during games.

With the rest of the world already benefitting from VAR, Jordaan believes that it is now time to implement the system in the country, Times LIVE reported.
