Brazil legend Rivaldo has spoken about the transfer rumours linking Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar with a move to Chelsea.

Neymar is believed to be staring at an uncertain future with the French giants almost five years after he joined them from Barcelona.

The former Barcelona forward has struggled to live up to his billing, with his poor performances courting boos from PSG fans at one point last season.

Metro UK reports that the 30-year-old now seems set for a fresh challenge, and Chelsea are the frontrunners to land his services.

According to the publication, Neymar is unlikely to rejoin Barcelona owing to the La Liga club's financial issues.

Rivaldo speaks on Neymar's future at PSG

Rivaldo, a World Cup winner, has now claimed that Neymar will not fall short of options should he decide to depart Parc des Princes.

The Brazil football icon contends his fellow countryman will find the right offers from top European clubs, including Chelsea.

According to the 50-year-old, the former Barcelona star still has a couple of more seasons at the highest European level.'

"I imagine that the Brazilian star won’t be too worried because he knows that even if he leaves the French club he will always have a lot of big clubs looking to sign him, including Chelsea," Rivaldo told Betfair.
"At 30-years-old he still has a couple of more seasons at the highest European level and even if he leaves PSG I’m sure he will continue to show all his magnificent skills in Europe on a regular basis," he added.

Neymar wants to stay at PSG

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Neymar is reportedly keen to win the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain before he can quit the club.

According to his former agent, Wagner Ribeiro, the former Barcelona superstar, has a dream of helping PSG conquer Europe.

The French giants are yet to taste European glory in their history, with 2020 the closest they came to winning the competition when they reached the final.
