According to Metro UK, the Blues are keen to strengthen their attack line ahead of the 2022/23 season, especially after the departure of club-record signing Romelu Lukaku, who was sent back to former club Inter Milan on loan.

The publication claims the London-based Premier League club have since shortlisted Sterling on their summer transfer wishlist, with City open to parting ways with the Englishman after securing deals for Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.

Chelsea to sanction Hakim Ziyech's departure to make room for Raheem Sterling

In order to accommodate Sterling, Chelsea are said to have commenced plans to offload Ziyech in the coming days.

The Daily Mail reports that the west Londoners are confident of securing a deal with AC Milan over the transfer of the Moroccan.

Ziyech has seen his fortunes at Stamford Bridge plummet in recent months after failing to nail a regular starting role at the club.

The former Ajax star has managed just 46 Premier League appearances since he arrived from the Dutch club two years ago, scoring a paltry six goals in the process.

Chelsea star unwilling to leave Stamford Bridge

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic has reportedly informed the club that he has no desire to leave despite the Blues' attempts to sell him this summer.

The Blues are looking to offload Christian Pulisic after they reportedly included him in a deal involving Juve's Matthijs de Ligt.

However, the former Borussia Dortmund star is said to be unwilling to quit Stamford Bridge and has told Chelsea chiefs as much.

Pulisic endured a frustrating season last term as Thomas Tuchel limited him to just 13 Premier League appearances.
