Herbert Adika, the man who discovered arguably the greatest Ghanaian footballer of all-time, Abedi Pele, has been honured at the Ghana Football Awards.
The man who is now blind, exposed Abedi Pele to football in the early seventies as he went on to become a global icon.
The Ghana Football Awards honored him with a citation recognizing his role in unearthing the three times African Player of the Year.
Meanwhile, Abedi Pele was also rewarded at the event in Accra on Saturday night. He received the living legend award.

Abedi Pele is revered in Ghana for helping the Black Stars win the 1982 Africa Cup of Nations and he remains the only Ghanaian to win the Africa Player of the Year three times.
Abedi Pele has enormous respect for Mr Adika and gets in touch with his hero anytime he is available.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian football legends, Abedi Pele and Anthony Baffoe, have attended a training workshop in Morocco.
The legendary Ghanaian duo are studying to improve their knowledge of the game as football management continues to change every day.
In a photo posted on social media, spotted by Sports Brief, Baffoe- a defender in his playing days- was excited to be in the company of the three times African Player of the Year.
