Modric has now said that it was Mbappe's right to make whatever decision he wanted to as Marca reports.
Mbappe made his decision, that's his right and now he's living with that decision. We all thought he would come to us, but it didn't happen. Now what? We're not going to crucify him.
Mbappe is a great player, but as I always repeat, no footballer is more important than the club, Real Madrid are the biggest, above all players, and it will always be like that.
While signing his new deal with Paris, Mbappe did not rule out a possible move to Madrid in the future. The Los Blancos have since gone ahead to sign Aurelien Tchouameni who could be seen as the apparent heir to the 36-year-old Modric.
