South African giants Kaizer Chiefs have mutually parted ways with Kenyan international Antony Akumu.
Akumu had one year left on his Chiefs'contract but the two decide to terminate the contract with immediate effect.
The defensive midfielder joined the Amakhosi in January 2020 after a glittering four-year spell at Zesco United in Zambia. Prior to that, he was in the books of Sudanese giants Al Khartoum.
The 29-year-old started his career at Kenyan record champions Gor Mahia before moving to Sudan in 2014.

After initially putting him on the transfer list, Kaizer Chiefs and Anthony Akumu Agay have mutually agreed to an early termination of his contract. The contract was set to expire in June 2023.

Numerous reports have linked him with a move to Simba SC. The Tanzanian giants were recently dethroned by Yanga FC and will be looking to bolster their ranks effectively ahead of next season.
