  • Neil Warnock believes Tottenham is the better club to sign for ahead of Arsenal this summer
  • Spurs are in the Champions League next season while Arsenal, who finished fifth, had to settle for Europa League football
  • Both North London clubs have been on a signing spree this summer as they look to bolster their respective squads

Former Premier League manager Neil Warnock has come up with a brilliant break-down of why it is more ‘attractive’ to join Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Arsenal this summer.

The two North London clubs have been the busiest in the transfer market among all Premier League clubs, and have acquired some incredible talents along the way.

Warnock, who has managed the likes of Queens Park Rangers, Crystal Palance and Cardiff City in the Premier League, believes there is not much separating the two North London sides at the moment, but Spurs have a slight edge.

Through a tweet that is fast going viral, Warnock, who is currently enjoying the retired life, says Spurs’ advantage is down to one man – Antonio Conte.

“As a player, I would say Spurs are more attractive a club to join than Arsenal,” said Warnock.
“There’s a lack of leaders at both clubs and neither can guarantee trophies.
“The difference is Conte, who gives Spurs that edge, real leadership and he is a born winner.”

Spurs vs Arsenal this summer

In terms of signings, one could argue Tottenham have had an overall better performance in the market than their North London counterparts.

After acquiring Ivan Perisic on a free transfer, Conte’s side also brought in Yves Bissouma from Brighton for £26.28m/$32.25m, as well as Fraser Forster and Josh Keeley.

Latest reports indicate Spurs are in pole position to land Richarlison from Everton.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have also been busy in the transfer market, bringing in Fabio Vieira from FC Porto, Marquinhos from Sao Paolo and Matt Turner from New England revolution.

Like Spurs, Mikel Arteta’s side is also keen on landing a Brazilian, and Gabriel Jesus to the Emirates is all but a done deal.

Gabriel Jesus spotted in Arsenal colors

Earlier, Sports Brief reported of an interesting video that surfaced on Thursday, June 30 showing Gabriel Jesus in Arsenal colors.

As at Thursday, June 30, Arsenal had all but completed the signing of the striker from Manchester City, and the video doing rounds online suggests an official announcement is imminent.

In the video, Jesus is wearing the number 9 shirt, the same number he had at Manchester City, possibly bringing an end to speculation of what his shirt number will be.
