FootballLiverpool Owners Under Attack Over ‘Unacceptable’ Contract Situation of Egyptian Star Mohamed Salah
- Mohamed Salah is going into the final year of his contract with Liverpool and the Egyptian is yet to renew his deal with the club
- Following the departure of Senegalese star Sadio Mane from the club, there are concerns over Salah’s extension situation
- Former Premier League star Jamie O’Hara has faulted Liverpool owners over the way Salah’s contract is being handled
The owners of Liverpool Football Club, Fenway Sports Group, have been heavily criticised for the way they are handling Mohamed Salah’s contract situation.
Salah has just one more year left on his deal with the Premier League outfit and there is no sign that the Egyptian will extend his contract with the club.
As things stand, the African superstar will become a free agent at the end of the 2022-23 season as the Reds are yet to agree to fresh terms with him, SPORTbible reports.
Senegalese star Sadio Mane already dumped the club this summer with a blockbuster move to German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, but there appears no information about Salah’s deal.

A former Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves midfielder Jamie O’Hara is not impressed with the Fenway Sports Group saying on talkSPORT:
“He's going into the final year of his contract, still hasn't signed a new deal, you've seen Mane leave. Now they recouped their money with Mane - a good bit of business.
“He'd been at the football club, wanted to go in the end for whatever reasons, which will come out but I'm sure it was down to money.
“Now Salah could go on a free - that is unacceptable. Liverpool have set the benchmark for how to do business as a football club and they've done it brilliantly. But they've got to get this sorted out because Mo Salah cannot leave that football club on a free.”

Barcelona to go all out for Lewandowski
Sports Brief earlier reported that Barcelona are going all out to sign disgruntled forward, Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich after the striker requested a move away from the Bundesliga champions.
Lewandowski’s relationship with the Bayern Munich board hit rock bottom recently after a disagreement with the club’s chiefs which prompted the 33-year-old to seek a transfer away from the German giants.
Barcelona is prepared to make their best and final offer for Lewandowski, and are willing to pay up to €40 million plus add-ons for the forward.
