Ivorian and Manchester City legend Yaya Toure has successfully acquired his UEFA A License from the prestigious Wales FA.
Toure, who had earlier disclosed his intentions of transitioning into mainstream coaching, has been studying at the Welsh institution since last year.
In a post on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, the four-time African Footballer of the Year could not hide his joy with his latest feat as the Ivorian shared a photo of his UEFA License A certificate.
Yaya Toure, a three-time Premier League winner, spent time with Tottenham's youth side as part of his learning experience while studying to acquire his badges.

Yaya Toure explains his motivation for coaching
"When I stopped playing, I knew straight away what I wanted to do. I need to share my knowledge and experience once I finish my badges," Toure told The Times.
"It is important when the player goes onto the field that he understands all the details. Some coaches are using their hands and shouting but when the stadium is full, you can’t hear them. I love football, I love it when it’s attractive with a lot of desire, commitment and energy. Fans are attracted by that."

FootballUnfortunately No. The UEFA A-Licence is a level below the UEFA Pro Licence, which is the highest coaching badge and allows holders to be head coaches of youth teams up to age 18, reserve teams (also known as 'B' teams) for top-flight clubs, and men's professional second-tier clubs as explained by GOAL.
What has been Toure's working experience?
The former Manchester City and FC Barcelona midfielder had already tasted what coaching entails even before completing his UEFA License A badge, having been an assistant coach at Ukrainian side FC Olimpik Donetsk and Russian outfit FC Akhmat Grozny in 2021.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is set for a coaching role with Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur.
The ex-Ivory Coast international has been working on his coaching career after he hung his football boots.
Sports Brief understands Toure is currently attached to Tottenham's academy as he works on earning his coaching badges.
