The Red Devils are reportedly split over captaincy following the struggles that saw them earn their lowest ever total points of the Premier League era last season.
Interim boss Ralf Rangnick failed to strip Maguire of the captainship position and now Ten Hag will hope that he can heal the split among the squad, with both Maguire and Ronaldo set to play a part in his plans for the upcoming season.
