Danny Jordaan is serving his final term as president of the South African Football Association (SAFA).
Jordaan was elected president for a third term during SAFA’s national elective congress in which he beat Ria Ledwaba and Solly Mohlabeng to the top job.
Jordaan received 186 votes, while Ledwaba received only 27 and Mohlabeng received just eight during the elections at the Sandton Convention Centre, Soccer Laduma reported.
As reported by Times LIVE, Jordaan confirmed that this will be his last term in charge of the association.

“For the next term, which is 2026 to 2030, I won’t be there. I must tell you now, this is my last term,” he said.
He added that his priority going into his final term would be to grow women’s football in the country and strengthen soccer in schools.
“We want a professional women’s football league. A professional league means a player earns enough from football to sustain their needs. They don’t need to work a second or a third job to sustain themselves. That’s where we want to be with the Hollywoodbets Super League,” Jordaan explained.
Jordaan also plans to implement strategies that will benefit Bafana Bafana, such as introducing squad size limitations in the Premier Soccer League.

Jordaan has been SAFA president since 2013 but his reign has been marred by numerous controversies.
