Bayern Munich's new signing Sadio Mane, hogged the headlines throughout the course of the week following his move to the German champions.

Mane swapped the Premier League for the Bundesliga when he completed a three-year deal with Bayern Munich, which has since made the Senegalese the highest African earner with a weekly wage of £ 250,000.

The 30-year-old winger enjoyed a storied six-year spell at Liverpool, where he won the Premier League, the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

He is expected to spearhead Bayern Munich's attack ahead of the forthcoming season following lead striker, Robert Lewandowski's defiant stance on departing the club despite having a year left on his current deal with the Bavarians.

Bayern Munich give Sadio Mane a befitting welcome

Senegal forward Sadio Mané has been given a befitting welcome by German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

The winger completed his move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich after signing a three-year deal with the Bavarians.

In a photo posted on Twitter, the AFCON winner's name was lighted brightly around the iconic Allianz Arena stadium in Germany to welcome the forward.

Sadio Mane sends heartfelt message to Liverpool fans

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Sadio Mane has left an emotional and a gratitude message to Liverpool fans after his Bayern Munich transfer was confirmed.

Mane had said after Liverpool's Champions League final loss to Real Madrid that he will assess his options. Only one year was remaining n his Liverpool contract.

Bayern Munich have now officially unveiled Mane as their new player in a three-year deal that will see him stay in Munich until 2025.
