Football5 transfer options for Neymar amid reports PSG no longer want him
- Neymar’s next club continues to be a hot topic of speculation amid reports he could leave PSG this summer
- The 30-year-old is considered surplus to requirements at the French club at the moment
- With an uncertain future, there are several options for the Brazilian, who became the most expensive player in football history in 2017
Neymar’s future at Paris Saint Germain is in doubt, after the French club’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently claimed ‘bling bling’ players would have nowhere to hide.
Having signed for PSG for £198million in 2017, Neymar’s value in the transfer market has dipped spectacularly, and there are numerous reports suggesting he could be on his way out of France.

The PSG president also recently claimed the world would see the best of Lionel Messi next season, an indication that the Argentine star was still part of the club’s ambitious plans, but where does that leave Neymar?
At the moment, the Brazilian does not have too many options, with three years still remaining on his current deal in Paris.
Sports Brief takes a look at some of the plausible routes Neymar, 30, could take in his career.
1. Move to Juventus
A recent report by Footmercato indicated that PSG are ready to offer Neymar to Juventus for a cut=price, just to get the Brazilian’s hefty wage off their back.
Further reports have claimed The Old Lady could be willing to take up Neymar’s services, but on a loan deal.

Football2. Chelsea
Alternatively, Neymar could opt for a move to the Premier League and in the unlikely case it happens, Chelsea would be a perfect slot for him, particularly with the new ownership.
The Blues are set to offload Lukaku to Inter Milan, and this will likely free up space to acquire more world class attackers.
3. Barca return
This is a more plausible route for Neymar, who had three very successful years with the Catalan giants alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
Despite Barca’s current financial difficulties, Neymar has a great relationship with them and a return is not far from the equation.
4. Newcastle
Newcastle United is also another club that is willing to flex their financial muscle with elite signings this summer, having gone under new mega-money ownership under a consortium consisting of PCP Capital Partners, Reuben Brothers and the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF).
The Magpies are determined to re-establish themselves as one of the big guns in the Premier League from next season under Eddie Howe.

Football5. Fight for a place at PSG
As Sports Brief reported, this is the most likely outcome of the Neymar equation.
Wagner Ribeiro, a former football agent of the Brazilian star has now claimed that Neymar is unwilling to leave PSG until he wins the Champions League with the club.
