Newly-promoted outfit Schalke used their social media to brutally shut down claims that Sadio Mane is the Bundesliga’s best ever signing.
After much anticipation, Bayern Munich finally announced the signing of Mane for £35.1million from Liverpool on Wednesday, June 22.
This brought an end to the Senegal international’s six trophy-laden years at Liverpool, where he won the Champions League and Premier League, among other trophies.
In total, Mane scored 120 goals in 269 games as a Liverpool player, and was in excellent form last term as well, notching 23 across all competitions.

There is little doubt the 30-year-old will definitely add quality to the Bayern squad, with the club president Herbert Hainer hailing him as a “unique” footballer.
Nevertheless, sections of football stakeholders felt the hype surrounding Mane was being taken a little too far.
Schalke in particular were discontent with suggestions that Mane was the best signing in the history of the German top flight.
And they took to Twitter to shut down those suggestions in brilliant fashion as the club shared a photo of the legendary Raul Gonzalez along with the caption, “Discussion over”.
Football fans with long memories will remember how Schalke managed to snap up the services of Real Madrid legend Raul in 2010, and the Spaniard went on to spend two years with the German club.
