According to owngoal Nigeria, the youngster already had a discussion with Gernot Rohr and this was why he has been named among the standby players in the list of invited players for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Liberia next month.

The Eagles coach however blamed his stand-by status on the player's travel restrictions caused by the deadly coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the player has agreed to meet with The Fennecs representatives once the season wraps up next month as sources claim they are planning to sell their idea to the midfielder.

The player is said to be feeling indifferent about the contact from the North African country owing to the fact that he already gave his word to the Nigeria Football Federation and Rohr.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian winger Moses Simon inspired Nantes to a 4-1 triumph over Brest in their French League encounter at the Stade Francis le Ble over the weekend.

The 25-year-old scored once and assisted another goal away from home as they continue their quest to avoid relegation at the end of this season.

He opened the scoring for his side through a superb finish in the 15th minute and Blas doubled their lead 12 minutes later as they headed into half time with two goals advantage.
