Arsenal midfielder, Lucas Torreira is hugely disappointed with Fiorentina after ending his loan spell with the Serie A club this summer.
The Uruguayan midfielder returned to Arsenal after a season-long loan with the Italian club as the Serie A side failed to meet up with their initial agreement with the Gunners to sign Torreira permanently.
Fiorentina had inserted a clause in the loan deal that meant that they could sign the 26-year-old midfielder for £12.5million after his loan spell but tried to negotiate a deal far lesser for the player.
The move has now prompted Torreira to hit out at the Serie A club in his farewell post on social media as he returns to Arsenal Daily Mirror reports.
“Know that I did my best to continue being part of this club, but unfortunately there were those who, acting in a bad way, according to my understanding, managed to prevent this from happening and that is why I have to leave.”
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta will likely look to sell Torreira this summer, with the Uruguayan not thought to be a part of his plans, despite his successful time at Fiorentina.
