Hungary were not done, as Zsolt Nagy got a goal from close range, and England’s evening went from bad to worse after John Stones was shown a second yellow card minutes later.
Daniel Gazdag then wrapped up the scoring as Hungary secured a second win over England in 10 days.
Gareth Southgate’s side were , in truth, second best for most of the game, but they did have their chances as Jarod Bowen blew a big chance at the back post, while Harry Kane saw his flicked header strike the bar.
The win sees Hungary go top of their group whole for England, they stay rooted at the bottom with no win in their opening four games.

There was an interesting moment during the game as England fans turned on Southgate for taking off Bukayo Saka for Harry Maguire.
The substitution was seen as Southgate’s way of saying the game was already gone, and England fans did not appreciate it at all.
