Christian Eriksen has reportedly rejected a new deal at Premier League club Brentford thereby handing Manchester United and Tottenham the chance to sign Danish international.
At the EURO 2020 tournament, Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark and was given days to be out of football due to the situation.
The 30-year-old made a return to football in January this year and moved to Brentford where he scored a goal and four assists in 11 appearances to help the club keep their Premier League status.
Why is Eriksen not interested in remaining at Brentford?
According to the reports on Daily Mail and Athletic, Christian Eriksen wants a new challenge next campaign.
The reports added that Christian Eriksen is interested in playing in the Champions League next season and that is the main reason he does not wants to remain at Brentford.
But as things stand, Tottenham will be playing in the Champions League next season as they finished among the top four while Manchester United will campaign in the Europa League.
