Victor Osimhen was on Monday afternoon, 13 June, in the best form of his life as the Napoli striker scored four goals for the Super Eagles in their perfect 10-0 win over Sao Tome and Principe.

The encounter which was played in Morocco, was the Super Eagles' second game in the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, as Nigeria now has six points.

Coach Jose Peseiro and his wards in their first game played at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja defeated Sierra Leone 2-1, with Victor Osimhen netting the winner.

Napoli rejects £51million bid from Arsenal for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Arsenal were told by Napoli to up their bid if they are serious about signing Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen this summer.

The Gunners have identified the Nigerian striker as a key transfer target as the English Premier League side tries to rebuild their squad ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Arsenal who have been keen admirers of Osimhen has tabled an opening £51million bid for the Super Eagles striker which has now been rejected by Napoli.

The Serie A side has told Arsenal they want at least £85m before they will consider letting Victor Osimhen leave having bought the Nigerian for £69m in 2020.
