- The Primavera Sound Festival is a very popular musical concert among its fans and it was making a return for the first time since 2019
There is no doubt that Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho are football's most revered managers and have formed part of an intense rivalry over the years. The two celebrated tacticians have been on opposite ends of the dugouts for over a decade.
They have clashed in the La Liga when Guardiola was Barcelona's head coach and Mourinho was in charge of Real Madrid. They have also coached the Manchester clubs and met severally in the UEFA Champions League, the most remembered one in the semi-final of 2010 when Mourinho's Inter Milan beat Barcelona.
It is therefore right to assume that there is no love lost between the two managers. They may have absolute respect for each other, but no affection.
That is why a mural of the managers kissing at the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona has caused quite a debate online. Fans were treated to a big canvass of the Mourinho and Guardiola sharing what seemed to be a passionate kiss.
The Primavera Sound Festival is one of the biggest musical concerts in the world. Making a return for the first time since the advent of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic, Dua Lipa and Lorde among others headlined the show that is usually split across two weekends.
The American Post explains that the mural is a tribute to the famous mural of the former leader of the Soviet Union Leonid Brezhnev kissing Erich Honecker the President of Germany. Guardiola's and Mourinho's mural had the following caption below it.
Alvaro Morata scores wonder goal as Portugal hold Spain in tough Nations League tie
FootballMy God, help me survive this deadly love.
It is not yet clear what message the organisers intended to put across with the mural.
Donny Van de Beek will be offered to Jose Mourinho's As Roma
Sports Brief had earlier reported that Manchester United midfielder Donny Van de Beek has reportedly been offered to Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma, despite the arrival of his former manager Erik Ten Hag at Old Trafford.
Van de Beek spent the second half of last season on loan at Everton, but his spell was underwhelming as he struggled with injuries and consistency.
He is set to return to Manchester United following the end of his loan spell with the Toffees, but there is a possibility the Dutchman could be on the move yet again.
