Real Madrid have completed the signing of talented Frencg player Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco.
The 22-year old has been on Los Blancos’ radar over the past few weeks, and both clubs announced the deal was done on Saturday, June 11.
A presentation is now set to be held for Tchouameni at Real Madrid, following a medical.
The deal, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, believed to be worth 80m euros (£68.3m) plus about 20m euros (£17m) in add-ons.
Premier League clubs Liverpool and Manchester United as well as Paris Saint Germain were also interested in the midfielder, but Real Madrid ultimately won the race for his signature.
The deal will bring smiles to Real Madrid chiefs, having missed out on Kylian Mbappe this summer.
At Monaco, Tchouameni was at the heart of the first-team squad, and made 35 appearances in Ligue 1, scoring three goals from midfield and getting two assists.
