Alexander Djiku is still in a romantic mood after recently walking down the aisle with his heartthrob over the weekend.
The French-born Ghanaian guardsman proclaimed his unflinching love for his longtime girlfriend Heley, whom Djiku married at a ceremony in France.
In a photo posted on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, Djiku shared an iconic image of himself, his newly-wedded wife and their two kids with the caption "Mr and Mrs Djiku, Je t’aime ma femme" which translates in English "Mr and Mrs Djiku, I love my wife."
Djiku, who has appeared on the radar of Spanish La Liga sides Sevilla and Villarreal following his outstanding performance with Strasbourg, was excused from the Black Stars in order to move his relationship with his partner to the next level.
The 27-year-old missed Ghana's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and the Central African Republic.
He will also miss the upcoming Kirin Cup tournament in Japan, which begins on Friday, June 10 as he spends time on his honeymoon with his newly-wedded wife.
Alexander will hope his marriage will bring him good tidings ahead of the new season with a raft of top European clubs circling for his signature.
