Ghana international Enoch Adu Kofi has recounted how Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo left an indelible impression on him during a Champions League encounter.
The 31-year-old midfielder who was playing for Malmo FF took a trip down memory lane in 2015 during his encounter with Ronaldo, who was by then playing for Real Madrid.
Adu Kofi, one of the most recognizable names in Scandinavia, revealed how the Portuguese surprised him by giving him two jerseys upon his request after the duo crossed paths in Europe's premier club competition.
“At Malmo, we played Real Madrid in the Champions League. A player was down injured so I approached Ronaldo and asked for his jersey but after the game, I didn’t see him again. I was in the dressing room, he came to look for me and gave me two jerseys” Enoch Adu Kofi told Angel TV.
Despite being a beneficiary of Ronaldo's philanthropic gesture, Kofi's Malmo fell to a two-nil defeat to Real Madrid, with Ronaldo scoring a brace.
Enoch, who is currently in Ghana for the holidays, also bemoaned the lack of opportunities he has received in the national team despite churning out impressive performances at the club level.
