Alexandre Lacazette is back in the French Ligue 1 after rejoining his former club Lyon on a free transfer from Arsenal.
The Frenchman, 31, has signed a three-year deal with Lyon after departing Arsenal following the end of his deal at the Emirates.
Arsenal had last week confirmed that they would be letting Lacazette go via a statement, bringing an end to his five-year stay at the North London outfit.
Official announcement was made by Lyon on Thursday, June 9, with the club saying they were "very proud and very happy" to have their old player back.
In April, there were hints that the Frenchman would leave the Emirates, as Mikel Arteta expressed uncertainty over a new deal for him.
"It is the agreement that we made with him. That was our position and our position remains the same - that is what we are going to do," Arteta added at the time as quoted by BBC
Furthermore, Lacazette himself had admitted that Lyon was a club that was close to his heart in an April interview with Canal Plus.

Lacazette rose through the ranks in Lyon’s youth system, before eventually breaking into the first team in 2009.
In his first stint with the French club, he scored an impressive 129 goals in 275 matches in all competitions.
He left Lyon for Arsenal in 2017 and as a Gunner, he managed 54 times in 158 Premier League appearances.
It is worth noting that he was an integral part of the Arsenal squad that lifted the FA Cup in 2020.
