Former Man United boss Louis van Gaal has warned Ajax star Jurrien Timber from moving to Old Trafford this summer.

Louis van Gaal wants Jurrien Timber to remain at Ajax
However, Van Gaal, who managed United between 2014-2016 has discouraged Timber from moving to the Theatre of Dreams.
While the legendary Dutch manager contends the youngster has what it takes to play in the Premier League, he feels this is not the right time for him to make the move.
"I think a player with his [Timber’s] qualities can play in the Premier League," Daily Mail quoteVan Gaal saying in his press conference ahead of the Netherland’s Nations League clash with Wales.
"That’s not a problem. But if he has to make this step now… that’s another question. It is not so wise I think [to move to United]. He has to play," he added.
Timber has established himself as a regular at Ajax and a move to United will see him relegated to the bench.
Despite the 20-year-old's qualities and talent, Ten Hag is likely to favour the experienced duo of Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire ahead of the Netherlands international.
