Harry Kane cancelled out Jonas Hoffman's goal to move to within three goals of breaking Wayne Rooney's record. The England captain was on target as his side fought from a goal down to rescue a point from the Allianz Arena.
With both sides looking for their first victories in the competition, it took no time for warning shots to be sounded as the game began with some high end to end action.

Bukayo Saka drew some miraculous saves from Manuel Neuer with the 2014 champions enduring some nervy moments. England's moment of truth finally came in the 86th minute when Shclotterbeck brought down Kane in the area.
The centre referee gave a penalty after consulting the Video Assistant Referee and Kane made no mistake as he sent Neuer the wrong way. Kane is now only three goals away from becoming England's all-time top scorer.
Despite a few other half-chances, the game ended all square with England remaining rooted at the bottom of the log after two games.
