FootballTop 5 Most Valuable Liverpool Stars as Sadio Mane, Virgil Van Dijk Miss Out
- Full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah are some of Liverpool's most valuable players
- The duo made the top 100 list of the world's most valuable stars compiled by CIES Football Observatory
- Interestingly, there was no place for Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk, with the former missing out due to his contract situation at Anfield
A list of the top five most valuable Liverpool players has been revealed.
The Jurgen Klopp-tutored side boasts a number of world-class players who have helped the club challenge for titles in recent years.
The Reds had a successful campaign during the just-concluded 2021/22 season, with the Merseyside outfit narrowly missing out on the quadruple.
Liverpool won the Carabao Cup earlier in the season before they added the FA Cup to their honours much later.
However, they missed out on the Premier League title by just a point, with Man City being crowned champions ahead of them.
Be that as it may, Klopp is unlikely to make a lot of new signings in the upcoming summer transfer window as he already has a strong team that can compete for trophies.
Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz among Liverpool's most valuable players
According to CIES Football Observatory, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz are some of the most valuable players at Anfield.
The two forwards made the top 100 list of the world’s most valuable stars, an honour that rightfully affords them a place among the club's most expensive players.
Diaz, who only joined the club in January is valued at £93.9million, making him the club's most expensive star.
The price tag puts him fifth in the world rankings, below only Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Erling Haaland and Barcelona's Pedri.
The Sun reports full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold who is valued at £74.6m is second at the club and 25th globally.
Mass exodus looms at Arsenal as 9 players set to leave during transfer window, with top striker wanted
FootballAlexander-Arnold is followed by Diogo Jota who is 27th in the world, while keeper Alisson Becker, who is 50th at £58.4m is next.
Capping the top five list for Liverpool is Mohamed Salah whose value of £47.4m places him 81st in the world.
Incredibly, there was no place for Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane in the top 100 list, with the latter understandably affected by his contract situation at Liverpool.
Here are the top 5 valuable Liverpool players:
1. Luis Diaz - £93.9m
2. Trent Alexander-Arnold - £74.6m
3. Diogo Jota - £72.8m
4. Alisson Becker - £58.4m
5. Mohamed Salah - £47.4m

The former Southampton star has in the recent past hinted at a desire to quit Anfield despite having a year left on his current deal with the Reds.
