Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has capped his fantastic 2021/22 season with a proposal for his model girlfriend, Mishel Gerzig.

Courtois inspired the Spanish giants to their 14th European title with a Man-of-the-Match performance during their Champions League Final against Liverpool on Saturday, May 28, in Paris.

The Belgian made a string of saves during the encounter to deny both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah a chance at goal.

And just days after tasting European glory, Courtois decided it was time to pop the big question to his beautiful girlfriend.

The former Chelsea shot-stopper got on one knee during a summer retreat in a stunning setting on a yacht, with Gerzig happily saying yes to the proposal.

Gerzig, an Israeli supermodel later took to her Instagram to give fans a glimpse of the special occasion by sharing snaps of the former Chelsea star's proposal

"Yessss to a lifetime with you," she posted.

On his part, Courtois replied:

"Love of my life."

Courtois and Gerzig made their relationship public in 2021, with SunSport reporting the couple are supportive of one another.

According to the publication, the two lovebirds met on Instagram when Courtois slid into Mishel's DMs.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Thibaut Courtois has conceded there is no chance he will be winning this year's edition of the Ballon d'Or.

The Real Madrid goalkeeper had a fine performance during the Champions League final against Liverpool.
