Nigerian and Ghanaian cultures were displayed at the very best during the traditional wedding ceremony of Super Eagles star Paul Onuachu and Tracy Acheampong Nkondu who hails from Ghana.

Born in Owerri, the South-Eastern part of Nigeria, Onuachu donned an Igbo traditional attire during hit traditional marriage in Accra.

The Genk of Belgium striker was in the traditional Igbo Ozo cap laced with a crown and the Isiagu which is a type of pullover shirt designed with crown and other large symbols.

The footballer’s traditional wedding attire included accessories as he matches his bride by wearing coral necklaces and some gold chains.

There is also now a trend among Igbo men whereby they carry a walking stick covered in intricate designs and the player did just that.

Beautiful bride Tracy looked glamorous on her special day as she showcased the rich and colourful colours of Ghana.

She was adorned in Kente and with gold jewellery also lavishly draped around her neck, as well as her traditional crown-like bridal headgear called Tekua in Ghana.

It was a colourful ceremony as Onuachu and his bride looked culturally vibrant, opting for the matching African-inspired prints.

Pulse Sports reports the pair met in Amsterdam, where she’s currently based as a nurse before they fell in love and began dating.

The couple’s marriage ceremony was held on May 28 in Accra and was well attended by family, friends and other persons in the football fraternity.
