Kevin De Bruyne has sent out a fiery warning to Manchester City’s Premier League rivals ahead of next season. De Bruyne feels that the arrival of Erling Haaland will make City a more lethal side than it already is.
Haaland is expected to slot in directly into Pep Guardiola’s team, given the magnanimous talent he possesses. He has been a lethal goal scorer for Borussia Dortmund and RB Salzburg and was wanted by many clubs.
He has already been pictured doing some warm-up sessions at Manchester City’s training ground. He arrives on the backdrop of City winning the Premier League title four times in the last five years.
And now, his soon-to-be teammate De Bruyne has explained what the Norwegian will bring to his team, as reported by Belgian media house HLN, and quoted by the Mirror.
Erling Haaland is a top striker. His move should help us grow as a team. Everybody expects a lot. They have always been looking for a number 9, but it will be good to have that striker that maybe scores 20-25 goals a season.
The Belgian midfielder Is also upbeat that Haaland will help him rack up more assists.
Maybe Haaland’s arrival might help me too. There have been years that I have had more assists than this season, but my chance creation and other things have remained consistent.
Both players are currently on international duty in the UEFA Nations League. Haaland scored for Norway in their win against Serbia, while De Bruyne will be in action on Friday night they clash with the Netherlands.
