Nigerian footballer, Abu Azeez has shown he is more than just a footballer but also a hopeless romantic as he proposed to his fiancé on his birthday.

The beach soccer icon who turned 28 on Tuesday, May 31st decided to take his relationship with his girlfriend, Toyin to the next level when he proposed to her in his residence.

Azeez was seen walking up to Toyin, before kneeling down to pop the question to an already elated Toyin who could not hide her excitement in front of friends who had witnessed the proposal.

The Nigerian beach soccer icon later took to social media to confirm his engagement to the public with the video of the proposal.

Azeez has netted 129 goals in 79 games for the Super Sand Eagles and he is the only player to score 100 goals or more for the team.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Football Federation felicitated with Super Sand Eagles forward, Abu Azeez when the striker clocked 28 on Tuesday, May 31st.

According to Complete Sports, NFF wished Azeez a happy birthday via their social media handles as they celebrated the beach soccer icon.

Azeez made his debut for Nigeria’s beach soccer team at the 2009 Beach Soccer World Cup in Dubai and has become an integral part of the team.
