Man United star Jesse Lingard has penned a passionate farewell message to fans ahead of his Old Trafford exit.
United announced the midfielder would be departing the club on a free transfer when his contract expires, ending his more than 20-year association with the Red Devils.
Despite his longevity at the Theatre of Dreams, Lingard became a peripheral figure in the final seasons of his spell at the club.
He was sent out on loan at West Ham United during the 2020-21 campaign before returning for the 2021/22 season.
However, he was unable to nail a prominent role in the team during the just-concluded season, paving the way for his departure.
"Manchester United can confirm that Jesse Lingard will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June," Man United announced in a statement.
