Liverpool are already in the market for Sadio Mane’s replacement after the Senegalese striker confirmed he will be leaving the Reds after six seasons at Anfield.
Mane has been an integral member of Liverpool after joining the Reds from Southampton in 2016 but decided to walk away from Liverpool with just one year left on his present deal.
According to a report via Sport Bible, Liverpool has now identified Rennes attacker, Martin Terrier as the perfect replacement for Sadio Mane.
The 25-year-old had a remarkable season in the French Ligue 1 as he scored a total of 21 goals to help Rennes qualify for the UEFA Champions League as they finished fourth in the league.
Martin Terrier is believed to have a similar pattern of play to Mane as he can be deployed on either wing and has also operated down the middle as a withdrawn striker.
Salah ready to join Premier League rival
Meanwhile, Liverpool are facing more headaches in trying to keep their best players as Mohamed Salah looks set to follow in the footsteps of Sadio Mane and dump the Reds.
According to the Daily Mirror, Salah would have no qualms about joining another club in the Premier League if talks over an extension of his Liverpool have fails to bear fruit.
Salah who remains a hugely popular figure with the Anfield faithful, will prefer to remain in England and thus the Premier League, rather than pursue a move abroad.
