Kurt Zouma could be jailed for up to five years as the West Ham defender faces sentencing for kicking his pet cat across his kitchen earlier this year.
The 27-year-old defender pleaded guilty to two charges under the Animal Welfare Act after a viral video of him kicking his cat sparked public outcry.
According to a report via The Sun, Zouma and his younger brother, Yoan is being sentenced today, June 1st at Thames Magistrates' Court, England with Zouma arriving this morning flanked by beefy security guards.
Zouma was initially fined £250,000 which was his two weeks' wages by West Ham for the attack and issued a grovelling apology insisting his cats were both "perfectly fine and healthy".
The French defender also lost sponsorship deals with major firms due to the viral video with sportswear manufacturer, Adidas dropping the defender as one of its influencers.

Meanwhile, Kurt Zouma got more than he bargained for as he entered the court for his sentencing following his viral cat-kicking video incident.
According to the Daily Star, Zouma was confronted by a giant 6ft 7in moggie just outside the court premises as the defender made his way into the court.
