His contract situation at the Theatre of Dreams means the midfielder will be at liberty to join a club of his choice on a free transfer.

Daily Mail now reports that Juve are on the verge of landing the French World Cup winner for nothing.

According to the publication, a deal over the transfer has already been reached, with Pogba set to be handed a three-year deal worth around £10million-a-season by the Serie 'A' club.

Italian publication, Gazzetta dello Sport, claims that the deal is close enough that it could be announced this week.

It is understood that the imminent arrival of Pogba in Turin could coincide with that of Angel Di Maria.

The Argentine winger recently confirmed his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, with reports suggesting Juventus are firm favourites to land his services.

Di Maria has spent the last seven years of his career with the French giants, having joined them from Man United for £44m in August 2015.

The 34-year-old has been a vital member of Mauricio Pochettino's team this season as he helped them win the French Ligue 1 title.

Jurrien Timber unsure about Man United move

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Jurrien Timber has poured cold water on the possibility of him dumping Ajax for a move to Manchester United.

United are believed to have shortlisted the Dutchman in their summer transfer wishlist as Erik ten Hag kicks off his reign at Old Trafford.

But according to Timber, he would rather continue his development at Ajax than gamble on his future with a move to a "big club."
