  • A couple of Liverpool fans decided a cancelled flight would not hinder them from getting to France for the Champions League final
  • The fans pulled some strings to make the speedboat trip happened, earning plaudits online from fellow Liverpool fans
  • Jurgen Klopp’s side take on Real Madrid in a crunch final at the Stade de France

Some Liverpool fans earned plaudits online as they exhibited their commitment to their favorite club ahead of the Champions League final.

The fans apparently hired a speedboat to France to cross the English Channel, just so they could get the chance to watch the Reds in action.

Liverpool will renew their rivalry with Real Madrid on Saturday, May 28 in the Champions League final in what promises to be a cracker of a game.

The daring fan who hired the boat has been identified as Paddy O’Toole from Jersey, and he came together alongside 12 other friends to make the daring sea trip happen.

As reported by Express.uk, they resorted to a boat after O’Toole’s son Patrick discovered that his friend’s flight to Paris had been cancelled.

They were not the only Liverpool fans who were left in the cold due to a cancelled flight. Reports in the UK claim Liverpool's John Lennon Airport was the cite for disappointment after tour operator World Choice Sports cancelled one of its flights.

"My lad Patrick’s mates Adam and Tom Dring from Huyton had their EasyJet flight cancelled, so their Dad rushed them down to Heathrow to try and get a flight but there was nothing.” O’Toole told Liverpool Echo.
“They got a flight to Jersey last minute and they met up with us and asked, could we get them to France?
"We felt sorry for the young lads so we had to do something."

O’Toole has since shared a video of the chaps in the speedboat ride, bumping to music.

Fans left stranded en route to Paris

Elsewhere, it was not bliss for a section of Liverpool fans, who were left stranded after experiencing massive setback with a coaching company who they had arranged with for transportation to Paris.

A section of the club’s supporters revealed their ordeal as they feel disappointed, they will not be able to witness their Liverpool play live in the French capital.

One fan revealed he had to return home after waiting for over six hours to get a coach to take him to Paris but it failed to turn up.
