A heartbreaking photo of cattle grazing on a recently constructed Artificial Turf in Akim Oda Zongo, Eastern region of Ghana has surfaced on the internet.
The incident which has since gone viral saw social media users questioning the maintenance culture and level of vigilance by the supervisors of the facility.
In photos posted on social media, sighted by Sports Brief, a number of cows were captured grazing on the astroturf.
The facility was constructed as part of plans by the current government to create a conducive environment to develop sporting talent in Zongo communities while also addressing the nation's infrastructural deficit.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that referee Kenny Padi, the referee who handled the second instalment of Ghana's version of the El Classico between Hearts and Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, has been suspended for the rest of the season.
