Kurt Zouma is not yet out of trouble over his cat-kicking viral video as the West Ham defender appeared in court for the first time since the incident.
The 27-year-old appeared at the Thames Magistrates Court alongside his brother and has pleaded guilty to two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to his pet cat.
According to Daily Star, Zouma is being prosecuted by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) under the Animal Welfare Act for kicking his cat.
Zouma’s younger brother, Yoan who allegedly filmed the viral video admitted to one offence during the hearing.
Kurt Zouma had faced heavy backlash following the incident and was temporarily suspended by West Ham before being reinstated back into the team.
Zouma suffers racial abuse after cat incident
Meanwhile, it has been revealed Kurt Zouma had suffered from racial abuse following the viral video released of him kicking his pet cats.
According to the BBC, Zouma’s lawyer, Trevor Burke QC said his client had suffered abuse, including threats and racial slurs, which has totally disrupted his life.
The French defender was also fined £250,000 by West Ham and lost a sponsorship deal with sportswear firm Adidas.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported following the footage that showed Kurt Zouma kicking and slapping a cat back in February, the West Ham United defender is set to appear in court.

CricketZouma is expected to arrive in court on Tuesday after the 27-year-old was accused of three offences under the Animal Welfare Act.
It was gathered that his brother Yoan who has a contract with Dagenham and Redbridge, has also been accused of two offences.
