Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva exchanged some hilarious banter as Manchester City celebrated their Premier League triumph on Monday. The Champions took to the streets to celebrate their fourth title in five years.
City did their title parade in an open-top bus parade as the players savored their victory. It was particularly sweet for Grealish who was celebrating his first Premier League title.
Grealish sarcastically thanked Bernardo for being off his game on Sunday against Aston Villa. The Portuguese international was substituted in the 68th minute, with City already trailing by a goal.
It was his replacement Ilkay Gundogan, who sparked the comeback, scoring twice in the space of five minutes to complete the remarkable turnaround.
Bernardo also shot back at Grealish a few moments later. In the video uploaded on Bernardo’s social media posts, the former AS Monaco man is seen asking Grealish what was the secret behind City’s comeback as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
There are two secrets, one Riyad, take him off the pitch, as soon as possible. He played like Almiron yesterday. Number two (pointing to Bernardo), he’s been so good this season, get him off the pitch.
Bernardo then quickly added a third answer as he said
Number three, keep Jack Grealish on the (expletive) bench.
The English star did not come off the bench against his former side and as soon as Bernardo made the comment, he quickly left the recording, hands in face.
