Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira will face no action following his clash with an Everton fan during a recent Premier League match.

Vieira was involved in an altercation with a Toffees supporter at Goodison Park back last Thursday, May 19.

A video from the incident showed the former Arsenal star kicking the Everton fan shortly after the full-time whistle of the tense encounter.

Daily Mail reports the Crystal Palace manager was confronted by the supporter who goaded and abused the Frenchman after a pitch invasion.

Vieira had initially tried to ignore the provocation before he responded by kicking out the supporter who was also recording the incident.

According to Sky Sports, Vieira will not be charged after his clash with the Everton.

The decision was reached by the FA Merseyside Police who have been probing the incident.

"Merseyside Police has concluded enquiries into an altercation on the pitch at Goodison Park following the Everton v Crystal Palace match on Thursday (19 May)," a police statement said.
"We worked with Everton FC to gather all available CCTV footage and spoke to witnesses.

"Officers have spoken to both men involved and the opportunity to make a formal complaint or support a prosecution was declined," the statement added.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Crystal Palace vs Manchester United Premier League meeting ended in a 1-0 defeat for the Red Devils.

Wilfried Zaha's 37th-minute strike was the only difference as United ended their miserable season with a painful loss.

Despite the disappointing result, the Old Trafford dwellers will be playing in next season's Europa League following their sixth-place finish.
