And the South American took time out of the celebration of maintaining their Premier League status by walking the length of the pitch on his knees in appreciation for answered prayers.
According to South American folklore, if your prayer request is answered by God, you show gratitude and appreciation by walking on your knees as a sign of his sovereignty.
In a post on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, Raphinha was captured in footage observing the religious rite by walking across the length of the pitch on his knees after Leeds survived relegation.
He made 35 appearances for the Whites, notching 11 goals and providing three assists in the process and is a top transfer target for Catalan giants, FC Barcelona, after a stellar campaign in the Premier League.
