David de Gea has sent a fiery warning to uncommitted Manchester United teammates following a disappointing 2021/22 season.

The loss capped what has been a largely frustrating period for the Red Devils, with the side missing out on a Champions League qualification.

De Gea has been one of the shining lights amid United's torrid campaign, with the Spaniard stepping up when duty calls.

David de Gea wants uncommitted teammates to leave the club

The Spanish goalkeeper has now asked his unsettled teammates to consider leaving the club this summer.

According to Metro UK, the United No.1 is usually laid-back but even he was upset after the end of a ‘dreadful’ season as he advised any players that do not want to be at the club to exit.

"Ones who want to stay, stay at the club. Ones that don’t want to stay go out. You don’t have to stay here. I want to forget this season and be 100% ready for the next season and be positive," Sky Sports quoted De Gea saying.

"It has been horrible, a very bad season in all ways, it has been very tough. It is time to rest and prepare your minds for next season," he added.

Man United secure Europa League spot

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Man United have booked a place in the Europa League next season despite their 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace in their final match of the season.

West Ham United's defeat at Brighton confirmed a sixth-place finish for the Red Devils on the standings.

United will be joining Arsenal as the Premier League's representatives for the second-tier European football tournament.
